work from home - working remotely
Claire Foggo, CEO of and Tia, her rescue greyhound and new home-office friend.

It’s been a pretty heavy week. Working from the hastily assembled trestle table in my makeshift home office, I can’t quite believe we’re only a few days into our month long New Zealand-wide lockdown. The last five days have passed in a blur of keeping up with colleagues, checking in with family, processing Covid-19 updates and homeschooling my kids, all while adapting to working full-time from home.

Thankfully we have an amazing and nimble team at, who have all quickly become Zoom and Slack super-users and made our transition to remote working almost pain-free. And there are up-sides to working from home, like wearing slippers to work and my dog sleeping beside me as I tap away on my laptop.

Last week, my co-founder Narly suggested that we provide three months’ free access to Attorney, and it didn’t take long for Alan and I to get on board. The next few months will be challenging for everyone and we were all keen to do something to support the IP community – even if it’s simply by making trademark tasks quicker and easier so you can spend more time with family (or Netflix – we won’t judge!).

As trademark lawyers ourselves, we know how useful Attorney can be when you’re working from home – an environment that is missing the in-person support, guidance and mentorship that trademark professionals usually have. Business doesn’t stand still during these times, but using technology like Attorney can ensure a better work from home experience.

So, access will be free for the next three months*, and I hope that by using the Attorney tools, our users can work through trademark tasks and issues more quickly and gain a bit more time to spend looking after themselves and their families.

To claim your free full access to Attorney, follow this link and use the WORKFROMHOME access code to activate this offer when you sign up.

P.S. If you have any thoughts or ideas about how else we can help, please let us know.  We’d also love to hear about initiatives being offered by others to support the IP community, so we can share them.

* Free access to Attorney will be offered between 31 March 2020 and 30 June 2020. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at
